“Wychwood Festival Nestling beneath the picturesque backdrop of the Prestbury Hills – idyllic setting for the perfect festival”
You know you have been to a good festival when all you can think for a few days after the event is to wish you were back amongst the crowds enjoying yourself! It is exactly like this for us, Wychwood Festival is like returning home, it is certainly a festival that has music at its heart, but it also offers workshops and activities for all ages, from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre to circus skills to adult seminars, not forgetting the wonderful parade on Sunday afternoon is always something very special. Wychwood has to be one of the friendliest festivals we have been to, with a welcoming, safe family atmosphere and a great layout with access for people of all abilities, set in beautiful surroundings at Cheltenham racecourse. The festival seems to attract wonderful people who bring the festival to life, give it its oxygen to ignite into something unique, the Wychwood Family feels like a united community for a few days, well this is how it feels to us. A few photos below showing some highlights of Wychwood 2013, whether your idea of a good festival is to sit on the grass soak up the music or take part in lots of varied activities Wychwood offers something for everyone, but most of all a chilled weekend of family fun. Next year will be the festivals 10th anniversary; I wonder who will headline next year for such an important timeline in the festivals history? How about someone like the Inspiral Carpets or The Pixies with comedy from Russell Howard!, we can all ponder or suggest and wonder just who will take to the stage, but we shall have to wait!
