I have long been a lover of old films, black and white, silent movies, I adore black and white photography, but find myself straying along the pathway of sepia. There is something romantic about it, a timeless character, romance tinged with a soft sadness which I find attractive, not all images work well in sepia there needs to be for me some sort of connection with the subject on an emotional level for the image to work. There is something deep and meaningful about the mood of sepia to me, I found myself lost in editing this shoot, travelling within an evokative renaissance of a nostalgic era that resonates to me the old movies I love. I hope you like these portraits, I have had much joy editing them, my only problem with this client is the fact I have so many strong images to choose from, which is not such a bad problem is it! 😀
